Project Overview:

We successfully executed the design and installation of a conventional lightning protection system for a residential building located in Ambattur, Chennai. The primary objective was to provide a safe discharge path for lightning strikes and ensure the structural and occupant safety of the building.

Scope of Work Included:

• Supply and installation of air terminals (lightning arresters) at terrace level.

• 25×3 mm Cu strips laid externally from air terminal to earth pit.

• Installation of maintenance-free chemical earthing system (1 No.).

• Clamping and routing of down conductors along the wall surface.

• Earth resistance test and commissioning report submission.

• Vertical air terminals positioned to ensure complete cone of protection.

• Earth pits tested to maintain resistance below 1 ohm.
